On Friday, October 13, 2023, Andorra signed a new non-double Taxation Agreement (CDI) with the Netherlands. This agreement will facilitate investment and economic exchange between the two countries without the burden of double taxation. The next step will be for the General Council, in a parliamentary session, to approve this Agreement.
Currently, Andorra has a total of fifteen signed CDIs aimed at eliminating double taxation and preventing tax evasion and avoidance, including agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Spain, France, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Portugal, Cyprus, San Marino, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Monaco, Iceland, and the Netherlands. Additionally, there are two signed agreements pending with South Korea and Belgium.
The signing of this CDI took place during the Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held last week in Marrakech, Morocco. Andorra’s participation in this meeting reaffirms the Principality’s commitment to contributing to the stability of the international financial system.
