The Government has recently approved a Royal Decree-law that extends the entry into force of the Veri*factu Regulation until 2027. This modification establishes new deadlines for fulfilling the obligations related to the registration and verification of invoices, affecting both companies and professionals with economic activity.
The deadlines are as follows:
- 1 January 2027: taxpayers of the Corporate Income Tax.
- 1 July 2027: entrepreneurs and professionals with economic activity in the Personal Income Tax.
The Royal Decree approved by the Council of Ministers must be submitted to a vote in the Congress of Deputies within 30 days, where it may be ratified or repealed. Until this happens, the extension provides a clear timeframe that should be considered to plan internal processes and properly organize accounting and tax management.
We recommend reviewing internal processes and invoice management tools to ensure that, when the Regulation comes into force, everything is aligned with the new deadlines. This will allow you to anticipate possible issues and guarantee efficient compliance with obligations.
