On January 18, the partners Joan Jové and Guillem Hors and the lawyer Maria Rodríguez had the honor of participating in the act of establishing the Clúster de Residus of Catalunya, which took place at the CosmoCaixa Science Museum in Barcelona.

Addwill has provided advice in the process of setting up the CLUSTER DE RESIDUS DE CATALUNYA at the request of the Generalitat de Catalunya. This project has been promoted thanks to the collaboration between the public sector, led by the Department of Business and Work, through ACCIÓ and by the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda, through the Agència de Residus de Catalunya, together with the private sector, universities, environmental agents and research centers.

The new Cúster de Residus de Catalunya was created with 30 companies and agents from the sector linked to the field of waste. The main objectives of the cluster are to establish itself as a dynamic element of the competitiveness of companies in the waste sector, promote joint work between all members and the entire value chain of the sector, promote its internationalization, promote innovation and I +D, among others.

The waste sector in Catalunya is made up of 693 companies, which generate 1,000 million euros of income and employ 41,000 workers.

The presentation ceremony was chaired by the consellera of Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural, Teresa Jordà and was attended, among others, by the Secretary for Business and Competitiveness and CEO of ACCIÓ, Albert Castellanos, the Director of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya, Isaac Peraire, the director of ACCIÓ’s Strategic Business Unit, Joan Martí, and the President of the Cluster, Elisabet Alier.
