On June 28, 2023, Decree 315/2023 was published in Andorra, approving the modification of the Regulation on supervision, control, and public trust in electronic services. The need to move towards an efficient digital administration has been a priority, aiming to establish secure interactions between citizens, businesses, and the public administration in the digital environment.

In order to enhance the tasks of the Electronic Trust Services Office of the Principality of Andorra, its own organizational structure has been established. Until now, this office had relied on administrative and material support provided by the Ministry of Presidency, Economy, and Business. However, in the new government restructuring, the Office has been integrated into the Department of Digital Transformation of the State Secretariat for Digital Transformation and Telecommunications.

The main purpose of this integration is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the administration, significantly improving the provision of trusted electronic services. The objective is to facilitate secure electronic interactions and transactions, both in the public and private sectors, in the digital space.

Therefore, this decree seeks to establish a more agile and efficient digital administration, enhancing trust in transactions and electronic communications in Andorra. The reorganization of the Electronic Trust Services Office is a measure aimed at improving digital services and facilitating interaction between citizens, businesses, and the public administration, adapting to current technological challenges and advancements.
