On June 5th, 2025, addwill had the pleasure of welcoming the Danish Consulate to its headquarters in Sant Gervasi, Barcelona, for a reception celebrating Grundlovsdag — Denmark’s Constitution Day.
The event was organized and promoted by the Danish Consulate in Barcelona, the Scandinavian Club, Danes Worldwide, and the Danish Business Circle.
Albert Folguera, Consul of Denmark in Barcelona and Partner at addwill, explained that Grundlovsdag commemorates the signing of Denmark’s first constitution on June 5th, 1849. It marked the beginning of the country’s modern parliamentary democracy and remains a symbol of freedom, democracy, and shared values.
He also highlighted two special reasons for Denmark to celebrate in 2025: holding the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of the year, and being recognised as the happiest country in the world. Perhaps the secret lies in hygge — a concept that’s hard to translate, but easy to enjoy.
The reception brought together over 80 guests from the Danish community and various institutional representatives, in a warm yet professional setting. The event was made possible thanks to the support of DSV, Carlsberg, and addwill.
At addwill, we are proud to support initiatives that help strengthen ties between cultures and business communities.
